Dear Dimensionbx,
I recently purchased & received your XYZ Da Vinci Resetter. I've been following the steps laid out by you to get the Resetter up & running, but I've run into troubles with the printing of the Resetter Housing, & I've looked everywhere that I can think of to find Email Contact information for you, but have been unsuccessful in identifying any methods of communicating with you, aside for leaving a comment for you on this forum. I've even attempted to find your contact info through your "Contact Us" Button found at the bottom of your website, however everytime I select it, it takes me back to your sites Home Page & it does not provide any form of Contact Information for you.
I'm hoping that you can either provide individual .stl files for each of the House Components so that I can print them each separately or another file type compatible w/ a CAD Program that I could use to separate the models and export them as individual .stl's myself. My Printer does not like to print over large areas, and the prints fail horribly every time I try to print them, whether I print using Rafts/Brims/Supports, any Combination of the Sort or None of them selected at all.
Could you please Help me w/ this request, I'm Personally looking really forward to working w/ the Resetter that you've provided, as well as counting on it to help me complete a project for a customer w/ Non-Standard XYZ Filament Material Requirements.
A Contact Email would be greatly appreciated as well.

Sorry about that, I just uploaded a separate base STL, to go with the separate top.

I purchased this for my Da Vinci 2.0 and it worked originally but 1 extruder would not work after resetting again. If I swap the cartridges, (left now on right and right cartridge now on left side) the other extruder won't work and the other will. It seems to be an issue with one of my reset cartridges. By it not working I mean that when I try to load filament it heats up for a few seconds and doesn't reach full temp, then displays the message if the filament came out or not. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this issue. If so it would help a lot.

I have had one for about 5 months now.
Da Vinci 1.0A
I've gone through 4 software upgrades and 2 FW upgrades
Now using XYZware ver with the firewall blocked and FW version 2.1.0
I don't just use one cartridge over and over.
I have about 11 cartridges and one refill spool I rotate between refilling a cartridges and external spools.
Sometimes using this http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:891751 just the first to parts to hold the chip to reset it or just set the cartridge on the re-setter.
I was using a different re-setter but it didn't change the SS#,,, And this one does.

XYZ Cart extender Da Vinci 1.0 / 2.0

Where can l download the software, l visited the website and no download link anywhere

there is a link to the software and manual on the web page just below the thingiverse link.

Hey thanks for the design!

Would it be possible to get a .stl with just the box and not the stand on the lower part?

will 1.1.6 work for the resetter? or do i have to downgrade?

no, the resetter will not work with 1.1.6, you will need to downgrade in order to use the resetter.

Odd, it worked ok for me with 1.1.6. I used one of your boards and the software. Perhaps I just got lucky. The chips in the cartridges did date from a long time ago.

BTW - worked fine and let me do everything I wanted to. I would likely not have used it but XYZ wasn't reliable with their supply of black ABS. I discovered that other filament actually delivers better results. Thanks for doing what you do.

would this work with the Jr.?

Nope, the JR uses a different technology (near field communication or NFC), which also has encryption built into it.

Works like a charm on my DA Vinci 1.0 with firmware 1.1.i
The windows re-setter software works flawlessly, very highly recommended.

I just ordered the re setter but sadly did not read into the requirements before ordering do you know if their is any way i can restore my printer to the factory firmware. Also is their anyplace you know of i can down load and earlier version of the XYZware

What's the difference between the regular and updated versions? Under which circumstances would you use which (e.g. is the updated version only for boards purchased beyond a certain date, do you use the update version for all uses, etc.)?

There is no difference in the final print between the original or updated version. The updated version prints the top cover to the side of the base rather than within the base. A couple of people said they had trouble printing the original version so I separated the base from the cover to make it easier to slice. You can print either one, they both work with the electronics.

The resetter will work with xyzware or lower, da Vinci 1.0 firmware 1.1.G, 1.1.I, 1.1.J, 1.0.3, and da Vinci 2.0 firmware 2.0.J

what version of xyzware do you need for this to work?

It needs xyzware version and printer firmware 1.1.J. Higher versions are designed to prevent the resetter from working.

So this won't reset the chip with any newer version of xyzware than

i have 1.1.G as my firmware will that work?
