This is a concept design to allow a single device for cooling of the
filament as it extrudes, heat the filament material within the hopper,
and exhaust the toxic fumes from the extruder to an outdoor location.
The extruder is to be placed in a vertical position to allow the filament
to extrude straight downward as it passes through the extruder nozzle
for cooling and then on to additional components described in the
The initial design includes a mix of components from the Lyman
Extruder and other custom or off-the-shelf products.

Many parts are not listed, but will be required to complete this
concept design into a functioning filament extruder.
- Changing temp. sensor to measure up to 550 F for extrusion of 100% recycled PET flake.
- Adding logic to Arduino UNO and WxPython applications for control and monitoring of the extruder.
