Thanks, I checked the files you added, they have valid mesh now.

I have uploaded 3 new files that may help various printers from 1mm to 3mm in size

Thanks Squirrel_Whisperer pls do not spent the time on it.
I used the OPENSCAD file pirateship.1.scad of OpenSCAD Pirate Ship by Makerblock thing 12856 and changed the parameters.
I got a longship looking like yours, which I could print on my reprap Mendel
I will post the STL file with a reference to your model

Hi Fons, I've printed more than a dozen ships from 2" to 9" in my Dremel printer and in my son's Makerbot replicator, but I will take the Longship.stl and take it through Meshmix and create three new alternates longship1mm, longship2mm and longship3mm, each sliced by meshmix for minimums. This will take a while. You could also take the STL and import into Google Sketch-up, which is where I had made my modifications to the original work.

Longship3.stl file has incorrect mesh according netfabb basic. netfabb was not aible to repair file. Was not able to print after slicing with Slic3r.
Do you have a correct STL file?

For a 4" model, at .1 high quality, you will only use 2.3 meters of plastic! So print a fleet of them, and they should take about 1.3 hours on most modern printers (I use a Dremel)
