Simple design that allows for 4"-8"+ spool to be mounted to the top of a MendleMax2 or any other 20mm based extrusion. Uses standard 608ZZ bearings (skate bearings) and 1/4"-20 flat or oval heads screws and washers. Mounts will work with 5mm screws and T nuts from the top OR through-bolt to clamp from the bottom (in case you can't get T nuts in). Design features crash guards (for 8" spools) to keep a filament tangle from pulling the spool down on to the print bed or extruder. Spool rolls silky smooth with no effort!

You will need:
(2) Holders (Print)
(2) Crash Guards (Print)
(4) Guide Bearings (Print)
(4) 1/4-20 Flat or Oval Head screws
(4) 1/4" washers
(4) 608ZZ Bearing
(1) 1/4" wooden dowel or aluminum rod
(2) sets of 5mm screws and nut for mounting
Some notes... Crash guard rods fit very snug in the holders, some persuasion/sanding/boring may be needed. Bearings needed gentle taps from a hammer/socket to seat (do not ruin bearings by hitting on inside race or shields!) Washer goes between holder and bearing guide.
