I'm printing one of the pawns and noticed there's a gap built in in the base. Did you add this for adding a weight or magnet?

Hmm. There should NOT be a gap. While yes, I do love putting magnets into chess-sets and other things non-magnetic, I didn't design this particular set that way. This is probably related to your print software, either the PC or the printer firmware, maybe a setting you can modify somewhere in the software or possibly your gcode.

interesting. I don't have any fancy settings for that (although it would be cool). The gap was so optimally placed I thought for sure it was intended. Oh well, it still looks the same on the outside.

:D True enough. All the pieces will probably turn out this way for you since I used the same base for all the pieces (2x 3d extrusion objects conjoined) It might be the overlap in the objects that is being handled that way to cause it.

Very nice model. I'm printing the king currently to show off ;) Just a minor remark. The king model has some problems with the sword in S3D

Great Chess set - design made for a nice print

the knight did an illegal move

LoL.. Nope. 2nd move for the knight, 6 moves into the (illustrational) game.

Thanks! Super Grateful you posted it!

lol just ask if you will need anything else Ill try to do it
