IS there a reason why that line at the top of the helmet isnt one solid pice and has those holes opposite sides at each end?

Your darth vader model appeared in the local news in the UK (towards the end of the video) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5Uvx__RuqIhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

I think that this is an great part! I think it also would be a good test for alignment of tool. I notice that thin lines and overhangs fail when alignment is off on z axis. Anyway. I also think it is really awesome that your maker bot sings!

When I skeinforge this model, I get tons of "This should never happen, there is a hole in the triangle mesh, each edge should have two faces."

you can find a cleaned object http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1636http://www.thingiverse.com/thi...

the object had lot of inverted triangles on the "face", and some leftover bits and pieces "inside the object" ... I cleaned and repaired the part using netfabb professional (super easy tool for this kind of work) and uploaded to thingiverse

That's because it was originally a model that was made to look good, not to be solid. I spent 3-4 hours getting it to where it is now. Feel free to take it further and upload it as a derivative.
