Thanks for putting something like this together. I just wanted to triple check something -- 1.5" PVC is massive. I can't zoom in on the photos you have, but from the looks of it, I can't help wondering if maybe the pipe is of a slightly smaller diameter.

If the pex is 0.5", that would mean the collar being printed is roughly 0.5" on either side, which seems really thick.

Any chance the PVC is 3/4"?

I printed something similar and used it to make a "Paint booth" that I taped plastic tarps to, to keep dust off of things I was painting. You could do the same with yours.

Thanks for sharing this. The prints came out great and it's a lot of fun.

This 6 way connector is a pile of... a waste of print time...

OP you have issues with this model which increase the print time by multiples. Without a redesign/complete rework; it just isn't usable. Sliced on S3D, one of the connectors has holes in it.

Try this: upload the stl to netfab model repair service and let us all know your results. I'm sure you are very proud of your design and attention to details work ethic, however I am not.

I just saw your msg. At the time I did this, I printed it on my Makerbot Replicator 2 and had no problems at all.
I will look into it though.

Hi getOrvillized,
By "6 way connectors (coming soon... 35 connectors)" do you mean the Geodesic type? It would be cool to have 5 way & 6 way connecters so you could make a geodesic dome fort from PVC pipe.

I saw this on Thingiverse today, and I thought this might be exactly what you are looking for:

60 sided geodesic connectors

Actually I am making them flat on the bottom so they can be used easily on the bottom of the fort being built. I happen to be testing my design on my Makerbot Replicator 2 right now! It's hard to design these suckers at least in Sketchup at least for me!

I just had a thought! Someone reading the comments only may think that I never finished designing a 5/6 way connector. But I have done this quite some time ago.

So, for the 3D printed parts needed for this kit, there is an STL file to meet the need!
