This is an outdated (but still playable using Third Edition rules) version of Pocket-Tactics. For the new (and much improved) Fourth Edition sets and pieces, check out this collection. We'll be updating the new edition to include rules for all of the Third Edition units, so if you have printed them (or want to), check in for updates and eventually all of those pieces' rules will be available.

We've set up a Patreon page for anyone who's interested in helping to fund us so we can keep making free and open sourced games like Pocket-Tactics, Wayfarer Tactics. and others, not to mention the growing catalog of gaming miniatures that you can use for whatever you want! (Psst... we take requests and commissions...)

The cosmonauts are so tiny at the base that when I print the splits and try to take them off the raft they fall apart.

I haven't seen that issue yet, might be a plate level concern. Are you using a razor blade to pop them off the plate?

Sorry, I should be clearer: I'm using PLA and a raft. One side of the model holds up OK, but the other side, the side with the smallest amount of material, doesn't.

Oh, I see that now. My bad. If you're printing with a raft, I woul'dn't print them in halves, seeing as they likely would take a lot of sanding to get the halves flush enough, not to mention the damage that would be done to the model in the process. Try printing without rafts, its definitely the way to go.

I've had good luck printing the solids because I have a heated bed and I dialed in my printer to one brand of filament. Makes it easier to mass print parts for this awesome game!

Pics! I always want to see solid prints. I would love to be able to do that.

Which way is the best way to 3d print these figures. if I 3d print them from down up, the body of the aliens don't look good at all. If I print on the side the body becomes kind of good but the platform not so. ^^ How do you 3d print these and on what settings? 100 micron? 50 micron?

You know, I've never been able to print them standing either. Takes some magic (and finesse with supports) that I don't have. If you're having trouble with the bases warping with the split prints, I believe it means that either your plate isn't leveled or the nozzle is too close.

Haven't tried those split prints yet, gonna try tomorrow (later today) :D Awesome work on the games and figures. Btw how do you make these? 3D software.

Hey, thank you! I use a combination of Sculptris and TinkerCAD, but I'm starting to use Blender as well.

Can't seem to find rules for these guys?

Oh, the PDF is here under the downloads.

Whoops, didn't think to look there... Tried the pocket tactics website and didn't find them there, or in the description. Thanks!

No worries! Glad I could help. All of the factions have their rules in the downloads. You can get to them from the link on the core rules page. Someday we'll organize all of this better. Someday....

Pocket-Tactics: Core Rules (Third Edition)

Thanks, Perry! Haha, I kind of figured these guys would be up your alley.
