I finally got the rotary plate working. Powered by a standard Nema17 stepper motor.

I am through the same process, You might wanna try Slew Bearing, meanwhile Could give the details of your gears such as pitch diameter and stuff ?

That's quite an involved project. Keep going your almost there!

That's actually a good idea, I will try it. Should be easy to change.
For now the bearings work great.
