If you have a printer with opens belts (like I have) You can use these to clamp both ends of the gt2 belt together.

There's a 3 mm hole in the center for connecting it if requiered.

1) print the clamp
2) slide the clamp on the belt and see if it's a good fit (else try offset)
3) cut the belt to desired length
4) glue the belt in place with some superglue
5) enjoy!

is it possible for you to upload step files?

i can try editing the files from stl in fusion but it'll be easier with step. Might give blender a run to convert...

Fantastic idea. However, I needed to modify it and I could not make changes to your design in Fusion 360, so had to make it all from scratch. turned out really well. Now i have to see if the belt will fit (sigh).

I'm sorry you had to draw it all over again. I forgot to add the STEP files. I'm glad you made it anywayz. good luck =)

This is just what I needed! Modeling a clamp of my own and was hoping to come across a simple design. This is it! Thanks also for including the original files!!

Terrible structural design.

This peace actually goes into my sliding block, and is then tightened with two bolts.

But thanks for your friendly comment (not).

These are some nice little clamps, the .2mm offset work perfect on my printer. I made little metal plates to go on top, but these work so good not sure I really needed it. I like that I can just slide the two side of the belt in out in the open then I screw the block down and put tension on the belt at the same time.

Thank you for your comment. I'm glad they worked out for you!
