Edits: (All old files will stay available, but you only need to grab the newest one)
Rev1 01-11-2015: Tebuchet had wrong size on some bucket pieces and upright holes, catapult2 had catapult1's top beam.
This is a hand-disassembled and flattened version of the astounding "Castle Under Attack" model by Andrea Garuti.
Andrea's model was the grand prize winner of the GrabCAD/SolidSmack laser cut toy contest.
His work is so awesome, and it's so generous that he open-sourced his model files that I just HAD to generate a flattened, cuttable version for the masses.
The original source file is an assembled version of the 1000+ piece 3D scene and is not cuttable. These files are hand-disassembled, snapped to x-axis, and flattened (2D projection) in Rhino to laser-cuttable pieces.
I am 99.9% sure there are no overlapping lines or other cut-killers, but some of the 30mm circles (wheels) rendered oblong, so further cleanup of the files will take place as time goes on.
So far, I have cut a couple of the siege weapons with good success. I will upload pics soon.
If anyone wants the disassembled but unflattened IGS files, or is able to contribute to this project, please message me.
