Ah. I thought you were going to share a pic of your make.

nope nothing, The file with the solid object only allows the default color not 2 colors and the other file has holes in it. I'm lost lol sorry for being difficult.

OMG I got it thank you so much, it worked!!!! Thank you for the video and your time, I'll post a picture on the site!

StandardM561, I guess it didn't work for you?

It's not giving me a option to dual print

What printer are you using?

Thanks for replying! I have a MakerBot replicator 2x (dual extruder) I'm able to bring both files u offer to the makerbox platform but wont give me the option to use two colors. Thanks for the help!

Try:

  1. In the MakerBot software have you selected a Replicator 2X under the device menu?
  2. If that is selected then click on one of the models you imported an then click twice on the Object icon on the left and choose the appropriate extruder.

Hey Tom,
If you want, I'll try to knock out a video this week showing my steps... It wasn't too difficult, although it might start an onslaught of Voronoi models on Thingiverse. :-)

I guess I should have stuck the owl on a football...

@Bassna, glad to help. "Like" it up or share a print, thanks!

Hey Urban,

What software did you use to do this model with. I did the original owl in Maya. How is you go about creating these shells for the dual extrusion. Thank.. Looks awesome BTW.!!

He literally say's how with the link in his description.

@Urban, thanks, I been looking for a way to do exactly that for a while now!
