This is a box which fits the top back of your Mendelmax and has fixation points for a Reprapdiscount Rumba electronics board with holes at the bottom for all cables and at the top for the cables of the Reprapdiscount Smart LCD Display.
It has additonally 2 mounts for 40mm fans directly above the stepper drivers.
The mini-usb is placed at the side so that it`s easy accessible.
The printer in the pictures isn
t finished yet, its just to show how the attached box looks. And you can
t see the holes under the rumba board as i just put it in there and will fix it finally when ive installed all cables.
It`s a work in progress as i want to add m3 holes at the bottom of the box too. It prints fine but the nuts will be seen on the bottom of the box.
Relace your upper right rear vertex of your mendelmax seen from the front with the box.
Fits with standard M5 screws.
Take 4x M3 to screw the lid to the box.
Add 40mm fans if you want.
