Summary

This is a model of Optimus Prime's head from the 1980's cartoon "The Transformers". This is the generation 1 version I remember as a kid, not the new movie version that doesn't resemble prime in any way as I remember him.

Instructions

I printed mine with rafts and supports at .2mm. Print however works best for you, please share any pictures if you make one.

Will it fit on a transformer mp01figure

I don't know, probably not. You can scale it down. I made this a long time ago so it's certainly not made properly for 3d printing. But if you have a program like Simplify3d, it can fix the mesh and allows you to make adjustments.

I'm having trouble printing this on the Replicator 2. The file is too large to fit on the print bed, and when I scale it down the tool path is not correct and the model ends up looking quite broken. Do you have a smaller .stl file for this? Thanks.

same problem here with prusa i3 mk2 and simplify3D

So tempted to scale this model up 5x and print on my Rostock Max (11" diameter bed) and give it to my bro for his b-day (we were huge transformer fans back in the late 80's). Thank you for an awesome model!
