One change I would like to see is to have the 3 holes along the barrel go all the way through and have the barrel itself extended so you can see it inside. It would be closer to the real prop and would add a ton of depth without really adding much time to the make.

I'm new to 3D printing, this is my first completely successful multi part model. looks great already and the STL quality is awesome. I gave the first one to a friend and fellow Garibaldi/Jerry Doyle fan which is why Ive done the B5 security medallions and not Earth Force. this one pictured is the second. going to try out "rub n buff" metallic paint on the body to see how that works

Love to see it after the rub-n-buff treatment.

Many thanks for doing the model Meta. B5 was one of the better sci fi shows of its time :)

One of my hobbies is an outdoor form of lasertag combined with live roleplay. I've used your original model as a basis for a version that I've fitted electronics and a lens assembly into, to make it a working lasertag gun. So it now has lights, sounds and Infrared.

Thank you for this thing! Thumbs up to you!

I'm going to be making one of these for my brothers Christmas present, I'm also making a video series about it if you want to check it out :-).

Thanks for the great model, can I just ask did you print the parts in the orientation they are shown in the previews?

Thanks, James.

They are intended to print the way they are oriented, and many print fine without support. I have since learned from a genuine, professional prop maker that my models need to be scaled down to about 95% of their original size to match screen-used props.

Look forward to watching your videos!

I am making one of these right now. B5 is one of my favorite Sci-Fi tv shows of all time. So happy someone took the time to model this thing out for me. It is appreciated. Once its finished I plan on posting some pics. I am going to paint it as well. I might even try and mod it with leds or something in the future.

Awesome work, just finished (another) rewatch of B5. :)

Wonder how much this would be if uploaded to shapeways and done in a metallic finish.

As you say, the cap and body could be made to snap together, and if the body was hollowed out slightly, you could probably put a sound board of some form in it.

Oh Happy Day!

I was just thinking of starting to model this. Thanks! Looks great!

Very nice! I'm going to have to make one. B5 is one of the best Sci-Fi shows ever.

Thank you very very much :)
wanted to have one for ages
