I'm proud to introduce a revolution in 3D printing: The very first 3D printer for toddlers. Inspired by a real life experience with this revolutionary technology in the hands of a child, this 3D printer has everything a child needs to produce stunning and sticky results. Plus, all the parts are easily self-sourced at your local home center.

It's a work in progress, but I'll publish all the plans and documentation as soon as I write them up. Meantime, I've attached a complete BOM to help you get started.

Important note: Not intended for children.

what kind of 3d printer do you have?, i have the xyz davinci jr

And a meme is Born

Most important is the low-cost, because "caulk is cheap." (Pun intended.)

Why isn't this on kickstarter yet?!

Let's do it -- we'll be rich! :)

The BOM lists "Small child" but I may create a derivative that allows for a "Medium child" instead.

wait, so u need a small child, but it is not intended for children????

That would be awesome, raster. I'm considering a derivative that adds a spork -- kind of like the Improved Improved Banana Chopplespork (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:40221)http://www.thingiverse.com/thi... or the Sporkle Axepult (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:28417)http://www.thingiverse.com/thi... but I've hit a couple of engineering hurdles with the default "small child" framework in this model. Medium might be just perfect.

I was expecting MBI to have a cool April fools joke. Thanks for stepping up and filling the gap! (And the cracks and grooves Har!) :-)

MBI doesnt care about community :)

I guess it must be April 1st somewhere :-)
