This phone stand redirects the sound from the phone's rear speaker so that it faces the user, making it louder and clearer. I used this stand to watch videos when I'm working and I can't use headphones (laundry, cooking, etc.).
I plan on making small modifications in the future, including a slightly tighter phone cavity, and lowering the front edge of the phone cavity for even easier access to the buttons. However, its current form is by no means annoying or inconvenient.
I apologize for the sideways photograph of this part. I really hate how Thingiverse rotates tall photos.
IMPORTANT - Print the two sections as shown in the screenshot in the gallery. If you don't, then you will have support structures inside the internal passageway, and you won't be able to remove them. One of the key features of this design is that it can be printed with absolutely no support structures.
Print the bottom section on the face with the larger rectangular hole, and the sharp edge pointing up.
Print the top section on the face with the larger rectangular hole.
Also, for some reason, I designed this thing in inches, so you will need to press the "Inches --> mm" button in your Makerware, or manually scale it up 25.4 times.
