This customizable map displays historical voting information for the contiguous United States electoral college. The map can be generated with or without an outline of the contiguous 48 states regardless of voting information. The state values can also be entered manually for custom map output.

Thanks to anoved for creating the original "Contiguous United States Prism Map" scad file.

Florida's going red this year!

Where did Hawaii and Alaska go?

How did you get the coloring for dual extrusion printers? Did you just manually input the values and save them as separate files?

The easiest way is probably to input values for color 1 in the manual tab in customizer (setting 0 for anything you don't want to display), and then doing the opposite for color 2. Then arrange the two STLs in your slicer.

It would be nice to setup dual STL exporting directly from Customizer but I think it would end up being really complicated in it's current form. Two exports is probably going to be your best bet.

This is pretty cool. I have a different idea & was looking for individual states, this is working almost 100%

I'm planning to make a USA-map puzzle. I've got all the individual states except Hawaii & Alaska - if I set either to 1 in manual, it gives me the error: ERROR: boost::filesystem::canonical: No such file or directory: "/home/cust0mizer/.local/share" Compiling design (CSG Products normalization).. The same error message exists when all states are set to 0. I haven't tried in OpenSCAD, only in customizer, which had a few errors in itself.

Any ideas? The lower 48 are enough for the puzzle, but I'd like to get all 57, er 50 If I could ;)
Also, if you are OK with it, mind if I re-upload the individual states as a remix? Might save someone else from the customizer issues I had, as well as typing names 2x (once in customizer & once after I DL the .stl files).

I'm guessing the errors are a Customizer thing? I'd try back in a bit to see if they go away. Otherwise you should be able to open the .scad file in OpenSCAD locally on your computer.

Feel free to export and re-upload.

Good luck!
