Summary

This 3D printed model features the old World Trade Center Complex. All 7 buildings were destroyed on September 11th 2001. WTC 1 & 2 = 110 stories, WTC 3 = 22 stories, WTC 4 = 9 stories, WTC 5 = 9, WTC 6 = 8 stories & WTC 7 = 47 stories. All 4 towers were almost completely destroyed. Please let this aid your research into the destruction of the World Trade Center complex.

The pictured model was printed on a ProJet 1500 3D printer. Cost was $.30/g, so this one ended up costing $52. It measures 5"(W)X5(L)"X2.5"(H). The build plate brings the height total to 3.2".

Where Did The Towers Go?

I AM NOT THE CREATOR, just trying to share.

Thank you so much this got me an A+ on my school project

So glad I could help! Please upload any pics you have of your print to this page!

This is awesome! Where did you get the 3d data or was this made from scratch?

Thank you! Unfortunately I am not the creator. Through my "deep" internet searches I managed to find a place where they had this model for sale, when I looked a bit further I found an article about that WTC model that was for sale and it included a link to the files! I had previously looked all over for a good WTC model and even tried to have one printed that I found on here (it turned out awful). This model that I submitted dwarfed anything I had come across, and I knew it needed to be shared. I'm glad you like it and I really hope you print it off, then I hope you and anyone who has printed it off can upload your pictures to share with everyone!

Thanks for the reply, I plan on remaking it into a detailed model excluding the rest of the buildings besides the two towers and maybe some of the other WTC buildings.

No problem! Try to leave all the buildings destroyed that day, all 7 WTC buildings. It will help people get a reference for how big the towers really were. I also have a "after" model, however I haven't printed it, and meshlab detected a bunch of things to fix. Just let me know if you would like it.

Hi Sacchetta, I'd like the "after" model as well.. will try and contact you to inquire. This is great!
