This is a Bite Coin,

Not a BitCoin,

This is something to keep on your keyring and push into a trolley, twist 45 degrees then remove from trolley.

Yet to be tested.

Entry for 23 02 2015.

Redesign / rethink of

This may be on your keyring and people will think its a drole joke and play on words with BitCoin. Little will they know its for easy removal from trolleys (I'm going to test this tonight).

Don't use this design in clothes lockers or similar that require a £1 coin to operate. The Missing Edge may cause trouble and you don't want your clothes missing inside a locker and have to ask for help whilst (let's say) in your swimsuit(!).

Also the swimming pool may get angry if they get stuck.

Put this in a trolley down Aldi the other day and I actually took the trolley back. When I put the hasp from the trolley in front in, the mechanism clicked, didn't push the coin out, and was basically jammed, so this is a good subversion tool.

Oh dear!

Sorry if that was embarrassing, and thanks for sharing.

I guess it was cheaper than a trolley token or £1 coin, and (I'm guessing) you didn't actually taken the trolley home.

Did you have thread through the hole to pull it by?

Ah I didn't realise about the thread... Makes sense.

Don't worry, I won't target Aldi again but our big-name supermarkets here are always fair game for some sabotage.

I enlarged the hole with a bradle and used some Kevlar cord I had "laying around". TBH it wasn't brilliant to use, but it's always in my glove box - just in case.
Also- don't use these as locker tokens - don't ask me how I know...
