An Openforge stone wall with a torch in a sconce. The torch uses an LED from a flickering LED tea light to replicate a flickering torchy glow.

Compatible tiles/walls in this series are tagged with OpenForge
You can find this tile and instructions for it's assembly on github. Here's a video of it turned on. I also want to give a shout out to jchunick on the Dwarven Forge boards for inspiration.

OpenForge Sets

OpenForge is now a patron supported project. I use the resources that my patrons give me in order to get the resources to let me create more sophisticated tiles with a greater level of detail. Please, support me, and I’ll deliver an ongoing stream of awesome gaming terrain. You can find more about OpenForge and Masterwork Tools at our website, at our forums, or on twitter and facebook.

Find assembly instructions on github.

For printing, I strongly recommend a layer size of .1 for the torch and battery holder.

I'd love to use these throughout my dungeon but I have started in on the 2.0 set with the magnetic bases. Is there any way to make this concept compatible?

Yeah, this could use an update. Let me see if I can get a cut some version of this out soon

I'm not sure what Open Forge means or is...but it's amazing and really cool!

Do you plan on making these as part of the edge set?

Also as a single 1x1 part?

Edge set: yes, just havn't done it yet.

1x1: no, not enough space inside to run the wires and have the battery. It took a fair amount of design effort to get it all in a 2x2. Main problem is the battery.

Maybe 392a type battery can do the job. Thus, I don't know it's capacity.

Keep these wonderful designs coming!

This is ridiculously cool. Fantastic work! Utterly fantastic!
