a open scad project that lets you create dxf files to laser cut or cnc mill dividers for any drawer

this thing is customizable. the online customizer displays it correctly but because of the reason that you would need a dxf file instead of a stl file the process throughs an error while calculating. hope they will implement the 2d option soon :)

  • enter the size of the box or drawer you want to devide, hight the divider should be, thickness of the material you use
  • choose if you want to have fixed amount of boxes or a special size
  • choose if you want to have just major parts or all parts printed out
  • enter number of devisions or size of devisions
  • export to dwg
  • cut or mill

--> divide your box or drawer :)

This build is great. I'm not much of an OpenSCAD programmer, but like to tinker with it for simple models. Your code worked great for a project I'm just beginning.

I was able to export the file in SVG form, edit it in Inkscape and convert it to use for my laser cutter. My edits involved trimming away the last panel on each end to provide for a closed box shape as opposed to the tic-tac-toe grid in the images.

Due to my lack of programming skills, I can't address this feature, however.

Would it be particularly difficult to create the necessary code to your file to enable a closed box type of build?

Even without the closed-box option, this is exactly what I needed for my next project. Thanks!
