Thingview on all 3 models shows the bear is sitting in the air.
Any directions on how to print this for best results ?

I'm having bed adhesion problems with my graber++ (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:151882http://www.thingiverse.com/thi... ). It might be easier to print if the bottom would be flattened (i.e. non-fuzzy)

Mine didn't stick either. Then I included a 1 layer raft which worked fine. I picked off the raft with my fingers. The bottom still had a fuzzy look to it but was flatter than the rest.

Clicked on ThingView, took all of 5 seconds to load. If you had a problem then I think it may be time to upgrade your computer :)

This came out great! Very cool effect. What was your procedure in Blender to add the "fuzz" geometry?

Came here to ask this. i recently did something like this for the gencon mascot. I make a high res mesh, then in edit mode selected random points twice and inverted the selection to have aproximately 25% of the points selected randomly, then alt-S scaled them out a little bit. Repeated the process and scaled them in. Then repeated the whole process in and out once again.
However this is a labor intensive method and would require starting with different polygoned meshed to get the different polygon counts. So I'm curious if that was the same method used here.

Guessing modelled bear > subdivision modifier > displacement modifier w/ perlin noise texture then ?decimate modifier? to get the different polygon amounts

I dont' think decimate will work on the fuzzes. You should try it because I believe the results would be... icky poo.

How was this printed, what printer?

I made with a Printrbot Simple Metal, and even with 50k polygons the result still seemed like fuzz, not spikes. Great job designing this!
