This lets you mount your APM (ArduPilotMega) 2.5 to your Bixler plane.

Has mounting points for:

Has wiring cutouts to run all of your wiring.

This is meant for the side entry APM 2.5.

  • Print 1 APM 2.5 Bracket
  • Print 1 APM Accessories Mount
  • Bolt the two pieces together with a pair of M3x10 Bolts and Nuts
  • [EDIT: Don't do this, this wreaks havoc with your compass] Glue in a 10mm x 2mm magnet in each of the bottom slots
  • [EDIT: Don't do this, this wreaks havoc with your compass] Make a cutout and glue on some magnets onto your Bixler in the matching locations
  • [EDIT: Just wrap some rubber bands around everything to keep it on your bixler]
  • Cutout a little bit of foam from the aft end of the electronics mounting are of the Bixler to allow room for your servo connectors
  • Add some extra tape to anything if you feel it's necessary
  • Tape on the plastic cover that came with your Bixler

Does this fit for the Bixler 2?

This doesn't fit the Bixler 2, only Bixler

I never bought a Bixler 2 so I have no idea haha.

would it be possible to get all the components of this in stl format? it would be easier to import into sketchup for us that use it. It would take me hours to seperate all tthe components in the APM_Bixler_Mount.stl file using sketchup due to all the lines it creates while importing.

APM 2.6 is exactly the same form factor as 2.5, so yes, it would work

I don't have an apm 2.6 so I couldn't tell you.

Great design, can you upload a .stp file so I can make modificaitons to fit my own electronics?

This is fantastic! I want to make something very similar, but with a FPV camera mount. What CAD software did you use? Do you think it would be easy for me to modify using Sketchup?

I used SolidEdge student version. So unfortunately I wouldn't be too much help on the Sketchup front. I'm fairly certain you can get plugins for Sketchup though that will import and export STL files. If there's a more common cad format like stp or something that sketchup can use, I can export it as that for you if you would like. Good luck!

I was thinking about designing something like this for my APM1.4 but putting it in the fuselage of my Bixler. It looks way better in the cockpit! Now it looks like I'll be saving up some money for a 3D printer and upgrading to an APM2.5. Great work!
