hello do you know what the maximum stroke is between the two claws?

No mods and using standard 9g servos + horns = fits like a glove. Great work. The only thing I had to do was use washers to raise the gripper's servo a few mm higher to make the printed gear that mounts onto the servo flush with the passive gear that it connects to. I'll post an "I Made One" picture following this post.

Awesome! Thanks for posting your make! It was nice getting to see that and I am glad to hear that it works fairly well.

Nice! It's very similar to a standard servo gripper I designed back in 2014. Will have to post it soon.

Thanks! I'm glad you like it! I actually came across your gripper design when I was researching different gripper designs and I really liked it, so I used it as one of my references when making my smaller, micro servo gripper.

I ended up using round teeth for gears however, because I was afraid that the printer would be too inaccurate for regular gear teeth. Anyways, if you get the chance to post your design that would be awesome! I would love to take a look.

Has anyone printed this? How well do the parts fit?

I currently don't recommend printing it. I printed it out and there were a few errors. The base was too tall and I forgot to include space to fit the servo wires through when putting the servo on. I also have not been able to test if the servo arms can support the weight.

I'm planning on uploading revised files whenever I have the time to make changes and test it.

the gripper part might be hard to print

It seems that way but actually comes out okay

What orientation did you use to print the claw? What is the bottom?

Looks awesome, thanks for posting. I'll give it a try. Only possible issue i can see at this point is that it relies on the strength of the servo gears as a main pivot in the gripper. Maybe metal gear servos would be a better option? but i have a few hxt 9g to spare so i will try them.

Thanks! Let me know if you have any feedback.
