Ok. so this prints all in one go, with full support. once printed just remove support and give it a bit of a wiggle. Very happy with this iteration. my openSCAD is not ninja style - but i'm getting better. of course now i have to figure out the "Variable Compound Angle Hinge." My goal with this project is to produce "circles" of PEZ stems, and from these larger units to make - cylinders, spheres and so forth.

Not sure i see the whole picture.
I mean the hinge will join 2 back to back, but not clear how the head ends connect
unless there is a head end hinge thing to go where the heads usually mount.
I do like the printable hinge design, looks pretty solid at the scale it is at.

there is a different connector for the heads. i haven't posted that yet, on account of not having a photo of it to post and not having it here to photo. i will amend this shortly.
