Love it, have to make this for a friend of mine

Hi jvmatl. Thanks for asking. The file called Creature_flat.stl can be cut anywhere you like. There are many free tools that can cut an STL into two or more pieces. If you use a Windows PC, 3D Builder from Microsoft is particularly easy to use. The free version of NetFabb can also cut STL files, as can Meshmixer and several other free tools. Have fun with it!

Love the 'top half' piece: I found a good 'pond' to print for it (Used https://www.thingiverse.com/download:71373, scaled at 200% and printed in black PLA, and flipped upside down, so the water is the glassy-smooth bottom of the print.) I want to make this for a friend, BUT... I would really love it if you could post a model where the water-line cut is made slightly lower, so that the 'creature' prints as one solid piece that you can pick up and place back on the pond. (Currently, one elbow is completely 'submerged', so the right hand prints as a separate piece. Do you still have the original model available?

Thanks!

It's not. Apparently, ward55 doesn't know how licenses specifying "no commercial use" work. Please respect the intent of the "no commercial use" license, folks.

This looks like the perfect candidate for an ABS print followed by slightly excessive vapor smoothing. Has anyone attempted that yet?
