Printed flexible beam coupling for Prusa Mendel style Z axis, as used on my eMAKER Huxley RepRap 3D printer.


STL file is for 5mm diameter motor shaft (NEMA14 or 17), and M4 threaded rod. To use with other shaft sizes, you will need to edit the scad file and export as STL.

The motor shaft is held in using an M3 grub screw, so you will need to ensure there is a flat on it.

I printed 4 at a time so the previous layer had time to cool before the next was laid down.

You have a typo "coupling_hieght" in coupling_01.scad

That's an interesting design! How is the threaded rod fixed to the coupling?

Judging from the photo, the rod is screwed in and a nut is used to lock it under tension.

Seem to be missing the parameters.scad file. Still compiles and looks like your coupling but there is an ignored variable named coupling_height.
