OMC Stepper nema 11 geared stepper, one hundred and fucking eight-four ounce inches of torque. Will pull 13 kg no problem.

If you want the best for your delta, you found it. This thing shits out dual drive gear extruders.

I made it where you can use spring tension if you want. You don't need it, it can feed filament back to back if you notch your ptfe properly.

Other uses:
Attach to fishing rod and reel in marlin.
Wench for RC truck.


Overhangs are probably best printed on most printers with 0.2mm layer height.

No supports are necessary.

I added a support into the model where the gear is, it is a thin 0.5mm layer, cut it out with a razor and it's good to go.

Use at least 2 shells (perimeters). Top and bottom need to be at least 1.2mm of solidfill. Infill for the rest can be as low as 20 percent.

Hey cool. I'm also using a suspended extruder based on an OMC geared Nema11, but with Johann's mini extruder. I'm getting a little leery of the inbuilt Nylon spring and this looks pretty cool. Can you say a bit more about how the filament path works? You thread the ptfe all the way through a pushfit but carve out a divot so the pinch wheel can grab it? What is the diameter of your gear, I might need to modify to work with the ones I've got. What did you build this in? OpenSCAD is what I typically use if you've got a *.scad file. Thanks

I made it with tinkercad. You can copy it and ungroup the main body a few times and position it for whatever gear diameter you have https://tinkercad.com/things/f1LuFskCorH

At one point I had made the body housing with openscad, but made the switch to tinkercad where I was able to model a whole printer in a couple weeks of "free time".

I pushed the PTFE tube all the way through, marked the contact areas of the v-groove wheel and the gear with a sharpie and then pulled it back out and cut it out with an x-acto knife. On the tinkercad linked you can also just select the gear (it's brass colored) and see the max diameter.
