Summary

I am currently working on a 3D model of the RMS Titanic (not for printing, at least not yet) but wanted to testprint one of the main lifeboats. This lifeboat model has been tweaked to print nice at 1:100 scale, since some of the thinner parts of the model had to be made thicker. The rudder is made as a separate part, since it was stored on board while on the Titanic

*edit 10.06.17
by request I have uploaded the hull as one part

*edit 21.04.17
I have uploaded all the parts as separate STL files

Really nice boat! Feel free to join my new group "Maritime", trying to collect boat enthusiast into one place.

This is awesome. How is the rest of the ship coming along?

I want to build the ship in 1:87 scale, and I will be definitely using these.

Thanks! The Titanic project is put on ice (pun not intended). I have way to little spare time at the moment with two small toddlers at home. So I focus on smaller projects

Could you split the parts in separate STL files and upload it? makes it easier to print, :)

Hi. I've uploaded all the parts as separate STL files. I hope that helps

Hi, It helps a lot, Any hope for the hull to be uploaded as on part also? #prettyplease
Would provide no visible vertical line on the print/assembly :P

Sure! #grantedwish
I have added the file "lifeboat_100_v3_whole". By the way, what kind of printer do you intend to print this on? since you want to print it as one part? Form?

Thank you so much!!
Wanhao Duplicator 7 DLP, will share pictures/made one, when its done :)

Yes! Please share photos when done. I am very curious on how well the Wanhao Duplicator 7 DLP performs

Looks really good. What design package did you use to draw it?

I use 3ds Max

Very nice Work !!! You have this model in full hull ? Thanks !!!

I really like your works

Thank you!

RMS Titanic printable, please please please :-) My wife would love it. She is a big Titanic fan.

Decide how many you want, then make less than half to be historically accurate ;P

I came here for this comment. Thank you good sir.

Will you be uploading any more for the RMS Titanic model ?

I would love to, but not at the moment. The model is still very much work in progress, and due to the limited amount of spare time it will probably take me a year or two to finish it. And since it is not primary made for printing it will require a lot of tweaking after it is done. So don't sit and wait :)

Indeed it is! Thank you for notifying me! I have reported it
Even when we give stuff away for free people republish it without even giving any credit to the maker.. facepalm
