How did your coil end up performing? Looks like you did a great job with winding!

can you show how you connected the primary to the secondary

You don't connect them together :) Look up "Tesla coil schematic" on Google!

How wide is that secondary coil? 4"?

Sorry for the delay. I believe it was a 4 inch pipe. The total diameter is more like 4.5 inches.

i went to make one and you see how the parts are positioned ?
impossible to print when the thing is supported on a 45 angle tip.
i thought they would print horizontally, they may be good parts but the way they are oriented at an angle, they quickly fail after only a few layers.

I am sorry; I did not know it would be a hassle for someone to rotate - it wasn't for me (I was able to use Simplify3d at my job). As the photos show, it is certainly possible to print.
Try searching for "rotate stl". You should be able to find something that works to set them up properly for you.
As an FYI: I printed with the spiral cuts up, using a support structure under the end that the connectors attach to. I used 20% fill, though a little less would probably work too.
