This is awesome - I was thinking of designing one of these for mine since the tube's power dropped to 50% after only a single evening but I love that yours can be printed in sections if necessary. I have a 1000mm 60w laser tube (allegedly - it's actually a 50w tube) and want to install a 1200mm which will not fit without sticking outside of the case.

My question to you is - did you install a grounding "strip" in this extension? I saw where another guy made an extension from acrylic and he added a strip of foil tape along the bottom, then attached it to a ground on his chassis. Here is his article and if you read down to the extension, he mentions adding a ground plane - http://lensdigital.com/home/?p=1498.

What is the wattage of that tube? And size of the tube please?

It's a 100w tube. 80mm around and 1400mm long but this is printed in sections so you can go as long or as short as you want.
