This is a printable model of a FMC [en/de] for Boing 737NG.
Original size of 225x150.

The display is a 5.0" TFT panel.
Ideal for a home cockpit and flight simulator or as a control panel.

Buttons: Taster9308 [PDF]
Display: 5.0" 640x480 RGB GTI050TN22 TFT Panel.

The light indicators fits three 3mm LED's like this.

At this time the buttons are experimental.
The complete model consists of 2 plates, 2 light indicators and 70 buttons.

The STL files of the buttons are divided into two types.

Files without a "final " tag are unfinished versions.

The pcb files are here. A very big thanks to dotsha747!

I remix/redesigned the buttons so that the numbers/symbols are embossed on the buttons. the lettering are 0.8mm deep. just need to print, paint in white color using white permanent markers to trace the lettering. No need to reprint the letters and glue to top of buttons. lettering dimension 5(L) x 4 (W) x 0.80 (depth). No need to reprint the letters and glue to top of buttons.
Thanks to User0810 for providing the original buttons and for adding ZIP file for the buttons with letters on them.
The remix can be found here https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2723282

I made a PCB to fit below this FMC CDU Faceplate. The design can be found here https://easyeda.com/dotsha747/737FMCCDU_V2-83f14eb14ced4e928df00539a30b3de3. It supports the 69 keys and LEDs for the indicators (but no backlight for the keys). The fabrication cost me around USD20 for 5 pieces (plus USD17 shipping).

Hi dotsha747.How can i get the pcb.Do you have for sale? Thanks

Hi speed1966. The design for the PCB is freely available. You can download it and order the PCB from any fabricator. I've made a guide in my blog here: http://blog.shahada.abubakar.net/post/737-fmc-cdu-ordering-the-pcb .

Thanks a lot buddy.amazing work you did.

I redesigned the buttons for your FMC and now they are "light able". They are made from two parts and a sheet of transparent film printed with an inkjet printer. I included everything in my thing. My design is at (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1803847).

FMC (Flight Management Computer) for Boeing 737 lightable Buttons for thing 774564
by webliya

Great. Thank you for your effort.

I've changed the 6x11 and 17x11.
The design for the blank buttons you can get as STEP-files.
This version of buttons aren't lightable, but a other version of the buttons ("lightable") will coming too. They consist of a core (transparent) and a housing (black).

Did you post the step files?

Button 6x11 is short in height. Better be 2 mm more (9 mm instead of 7). Also length is loose so .5 mm addition (10.5 mm) will be better.

And 17x11 you can add 2 mm to the height. All other is good.

Which software you use for design, may you share the design file(s).

Thanks for the feedback webliya.
The button will be lettered, so you don't need to print it. A example lettered button 12x12 I upload in few minutes. The problem with the hole on bottom will be fixed tomorrow.

Hi User0180, i want to modify your design so that all the buttons have their respective letters on them. This is to experiment with using permanent marker to trace out the lettering instead of printing the letters on a separate component and cutting and glueing....little annoying doing that! Permission to modify your design sir?
I will make reference to your original design if i am successful with my experiment and post it here

Hello jwarty,
Of course you can create a remix of the buttons.
Only through the effort and the shared work can a community live.
I have already created the buttons with the caption, but have not yet uploaded them.
I will upload the step files of the buttons today.

Thank you. This works.

What I am trying to do is to have a close look as the original FMC with illuminated black buttons. Only the letters will be transparent and all other parts will be opaque.

Thank you for the button caps. Very important part.

I first printed 12x12 button and fits to its place. Although I did not use support, inside the hole was full. I believe it is because of the curved edges inside. I had to drill it in. You actually do not need to curve the inside edges, the top and sides are enough.

I am now printing all four buttons with semi-transparent orange PLA. Which illuminates with a 3 mm led with 220 ohm perfect.

I will then print with black PLA and see if we can get some light thru. If not we need to stand with a semi-transparent color.

The most difficult part is how we will write on them. I now try to print on transparency film black negative print and then cut and stick on the keys and see the result.

If you have any other solution in your mind I would like to hear it.

Hello, do you have any updates for the circuit and buttons yet?

At the moment I can not make it in time.
However, it will follow some key this year.

awesome work, thanks for this. Love that the 737 sim community is growing on thingyverse !
