how long would you say it would take to finish with a teen

Message send to you ;)

And also, I was wondering were do you go to get the chest.stl file? Is it a download? One more thing, my 3D printer's platform is not that big, so will that affect the armor??? And We bought a $230 dollar printer, will that madder to how this comes out? If you could get back with me on these things that would be wonderful.
thx

I love your design!!! However, could you make a video on how to put it together???
If so that would be awesome.
thx

I like your helmet can u make one for 3d print?

Is this the rogue varmor from halo 4?

How did you adhere the armor to your body? Did you glue it to your shirt or how did you get it not to fall off while wearing it? I'm in the process of making it for a comic convention and am almost done.

I don't really understand the sense of your question, I'm sorry :S But if you need help to get your perfect scale, contact me and I can help you with that ;)

how are you wearing the armor? does it have straps or is it attached to a shirt?

How to determine scale?

For myself, I measure my rib cage height, then add 2-3 inches and use the chest.stl file with the height to get my scale and simply use the same scale to all other files. Fit Perfect with the entire armor scaled right!

How scaled for a 5' person?

Nice armor bud. Check out my design for a great weapon to go along with it. Happy printing!

How do you add file thickness to blender, Rhino or Maya when you export the sized .PDO as a .OBJ then upload it into Blender, Rhino or Maya?

I notice it's printed in parts and assembled -- what is the minimum buildplate size needed?

I can't really answer that.. My 3D printer have a building size of 30cmx20cmx36cm

Now that is not fooling around. Sho-nuf 3d printed armor.
I would probably have pulled it into blender done a couple of Mesh Subdivisions, looks a little low-poly.
Why sand when the printer can just print it smoother, but still impressive.
What scale is the armor? Looks like it is really small.

low poly to print fast and smooth it with XTC-3D or fiberglass/bondo body filler. I use 27.88 for the scale, should fit to a 5f11in to 6f2in

The lower poly model won't print significantly faster, but it will add significant sanding and finishing time.
Lower the print time with a lower infill or a larger layer height and smooth the mesh before printing.

If you are planning on sanding the model you shouldn't use XTC, it's more for clear-coating and leaving a beautiful smooth surface. But sanding defeats the purpose. You could use any cheaper resin, bondo or rondo combination.

What printer are you using for this print?
