Would it be possible to have a complete stl of the helmet so we have the option to print in one piece

Comments deleted.

are supports needed for the dome part.

What color blue did you use?

Royal blue from Krylon

Thank you! I ended ended up using a blue a had around came out pretty good. I'll try to get some picks up

Printed it on AnetA8 with no supports at all, took about 11.5 hours both parts at 0.32 layer, PLA.
Great design, looks awesome. For those who are wondering - 100% was perfect for 56cm head, 93% scale for 54cm.

Thanks for sharing.

Can you upload a file of the dome and face parts together as one piece?

How can I scale it so it will fit my head? Thanks!

ITS based on a 24" circumference. So 10% smaller would be 2.4 inches smaller and so on

Can you give a little more details on how you created the chin strap?

Sure, the strap is brown 1" elastic with a foam chin guard. I hot glued it to the helmet and made ear guards out of the same foam. If you use an iron or heat gun on the foam it gives it a leathery look.

hi, can you give me an insight about the foam or the link, maybe?

Its a craft foam I get from Hobby Lobby. Its known as silly winks and comes in varying thicknesses and sizes

How hard would it be to change the size?

Could this be split into 4 parts? It's to big for the printer. Thanks!

Use meshmixer. It is a pretty good slicer.

Is there anyway you could make it a .iam file? Inventor doesn't work unless its .iam and stl does not convert. thank you.

can you make it in 4 parts as it will not fit on my printer thanks

Wow! You guys looked awesome in costume. Some of the best Avengers costumes Ive seen.

How much material did this take?

1300 grams, most of that was the support material.

this is sweet im going to improvise to make a flash mask with this

can u post a pic after ur done

Was anyone able to print this? I'm getting errors from Sli3er.

Going to give this a go today. I have a 10x10x10 bed so I think it will work.

What were your print settings? Did you print the crown like a bowl? I assume you used support?

I printed with support. I used Cura at high quality 40% infill. I printed the dome in the orientation of the stl file.

What size is your build table?

11 x 11 x 10 Lulzbot TAZ4

lucky bastard ;) thanks for the updated files. Going to cut it further and see if I can start getting it printed

Printing this now on my new BQ Witbox... very excited
