There are some invisible sqiggles in the black layer in the bottom left corner which show up on the plot as the very last thing plotted. Users should remove these for best results (you need to unlock the layer in Inkscape before you can select them).

While I appreciate the time you've taken to comment, I must simply state that this watermark - my maker's mark - is not impacting the end result at all. Users are free to remove any part of my art they see fit under the CC licensing, but to claim that the removal of my mark provides the "best results" is simply untrue.

Well, even though it's invisible in the file, my Eggbot prints it, so it shows up as a black squiggle on the back of the egg. Is that the intention?

It is, it's a signature. Again, you are welcome to remove it as you have - I only take issue with the claim that removing it somehow yields better results.

Well, OK... It's just that if it is supposed to print, why not make it visible in the file? I spent quite a while wondering if my Eggbot was broken or had a bug because it was making lines I couldn't see in the original input.

Anyway, let me take the opportunity, as we are having a conversation, to thank you for your designs - they are excellent :-)

I apologize for the scare - your eggbot is working just fine! Out of curiosity, is yours an official bot from evilmadscientist.com?
Honestly, it's invisible because I didn't want people to steal the designs as their own without having to do a little work (or get caught) - and yeah, unfortunately that's happened a few times.
I appreciate the kind words, they represent many hours of work and I'm happy they are appreciated by others!

Yes, it's an official bot. (Are there unofficial ones?) I'm sorry to hear that people are stealing your designs and passing them off; are there metadata options in the SVG you might also use?

My email address is gerv at gerv dot net - if you would drop me a line, I'd love to ask you some things about how you made your design and some of the choices you made. But that seems the wrong discussion to have in the comments for one particular design :-)
