Modular Marble run for marbles up to 26mm in diameter. Its dimensions are compatible with Lego Duplo to build pillars.
The designs are made for 4mm thick plywood. The parts have to be glued together.
Note: you can use Lego Duplo bricks for building pillars.
.scad are for use with OpenSCAD.
.dxf files might be imported into your laser cutter software
.pwj files are for the ThunderLaser laser cutter.
Almost everything (except the Flipflop) is defined in mrun3.scad,
where you might also view 3D-models (for getting hints how to glue the parts together). This file is included by the
other .scad files and may be changed to other parameters (different thickness, rails lengths etc). However, when changing parameters, there is no garantee that things will not just simply break ;-)
rails. : contains 4 rails and 2 blocks (you probably need more blocks!)
bases. : contains 4 bases (2 1-unit and 2 1.5-unit bases) (you need
blocks. : more blocks (you will want this).
doubleBlocks. Blocks 2 units high (optional)
flipFlopClean.* Sketch of a FlipFlop. Warning: You have to scale the model before printing it (I did not further investigate how to export it correctly from svg).
