Summary

I made this adapter, so I could reuse my very stable Dremel milling-head on the new Thing-O-Matic.
Any RepMan-toolhead should fit with this adapter.

I oriented the part, so that it prints well on a Thing-O-Matic.

I did test it with my RepMan tool-head and it worked. (see the video)

I'm going to try making this now so I can use the neglected dremel extender here along with UechiMike's G-cdoe extension for inkscape http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:16424http://www.thingiverse.com/thi... to do some basic milling.

Thing-O-Matic G-Code Extension for Inkscape

I propose vIsolate if what you want to mill are PCBs.

G-Code for Inkscape sounds interesting.

I'll have a look at that.

(I'm thinking of milling wax on my RepMan.)

I like the idea of being able to take a photo of a pcb or a screenshot from any website or PCB layout software and using that as an input for making a functional electronic device.

Hmmm... wax sounds like an easy and cheap item to start practising with. Perhaps bars of soap would be good too?

I need to think of an easy and quick way of removing all the shavings of wax/soap/wood/etc. so that another person can rapidly switch to using the machine for printing.

The point of wax is that you can melt it in any microwave and it's hard enough for casting. ;)

Suck in the shavings in and melt it again.

This thing is the coolest, most usefull thing ever! Thank you for all the hard work you put in to this thing.

I removed that IN-PROGRESS part and added a link to the video.

This adapter works just fine. :)
