This top and base is designed to fit the Tint Tubes used by a number of the Christmas Light displays in Australia. The 78mm ID tubes form an interesting and cheap light when illuminated from inside with LED or Pixel strip.

This cap is designed to seal the top and bottom of the tube, The top cap is designed to stop weather, dust and dirt from getting in the tube, and the bottom has a slot to allow cable entry into the tubes, while still limiting the entry of grass and bugs. At only 5mm thick, they are not a large bulky item, and are relatively quick and cheap to print.

Best printed with 2 wall thicknesses, 15% infill and a color and material that suits your needs. I used white ABS for my tubes, and this will also let some light illuminate them from the tint tube, thus forming a part of the display. While they are a press fit, you may like to add some silicone to ensure they don't fall off
