Instructions

The trick:

  • use a 0.8 mm nozzle [instead of standard 0.4mm]
  • print with layerheight 0.4
  • now the difficult part: first 2 layers printed with fill [set layer 0 to 2 in carve menu]
  • from layer 2 - 99999 printed without fill [also set in carve menu]
  • merge both files in text editor, make sure you add G92 E0 (zero the extruded length) just before the second part and cut away the gcode you don't need
  • heat up and go!

tip for skeinforge developpers: will it be possible to 'chain' profiles in the future...?

Nice thing man... I think I have a present for my mom. Just need to get this thing sealed up (messed with the extrusion on the bottom). More pictures here: https://picasaweb.google.com/116416453568555193309/UltimakerBetatestingPaulSNetfabbProfiles#https://picasaweb.google.com/1...

thank you...!

using some one second glue on the bottom for non translucent materials works sometimes

Are you using a filament bonder to connect the different colors or just manually changing it out mid print? Very nice no matter what, just curious to the method.

Hi Barry,

I manually change the colours. Sometime [for the bracelets] i fill the bowden cable with short pieces of different colours.

cheers\joris
