Summary

This is my project for the realization of a printer 3d, based on the style Prusa Mendel, but decidedly magazine from the standpoint of structural and mechanical.
Currently it is in the assembly phase.

Whats going on with this project?

Ok, great, is like a elevator function.
Yes, is hollow tubes 20x15 1mm thick.
I have to make 4 holes in the vertical tubes and insert weights.

If you want to do this in style you might be able to integrate it inside your exterior frame if it is hollow tubing...

Simple... attach a steel cable of 1mm or 2mm thick to each corner of the extruder frame and a pulley to the top of your exterior frame then attach a hollow tube to each cable end and fill it up withe 500 grams of lead. Making your extruder vertical weightless, gravity has the biggest efect up and down, try holding a bottle of water and shake it up and down.... now try without... lots more control and less wobble...

By print bed I mean the mechanical section that has to be lifted

ok, now i understand.
The weight of these components is about 2 kg, then enough light.
Anyway, can you explain me how do you make this system?

I would add a pulley system with counter weights on all 4 corners of the print bed to zero out the weight of the print bed = less stress on the z axis motors...= more accuracy.

I'm sorry but i don't understand your suggestion.
The print bed is fixed on the structure, it doesn't move during the printing.
Z-axis motors sustain only the extruders' weight.
