It's a shame that the TAZ 4 shipped with a total piece of shit Chinese power supply. The bearings in the fan on mine started to seize up after only a few months, so I emailed LulzBot and they sent a replacement. In the meantime, I replaced the fan with a Cooler Master I had in a junk bin. At some point, I plan to replace the entire supply with an industrial grade one. The construction and assembly of the PCB in the stock supply is downright atrocious. I don't even leave mine plugged in when my printer is switched off, because I don't trust it to not spontaneously catch fire. Anyway, nice work, and thanks for sharing this!

Yeah, my luck with the Taz 4 was slightly better than yours (my power supply lasted a whole year, lol!), but I agree that it must have been the cooling fan bearings that burned out. No problems since I replaced the cooling fan. And exposed HV is my favorite anti-theft device. ;-)

What size is the fan that you mounted?

I think it may have been 70mm -- I can't remember for sure. I know they come in 70, 80, and 90mm dimensions. I think the 70s are more rare. A clever person could mod the design files to suit their particular needs.

Well im not too clever in 3D Design. Thanks ill try to find a 70mm 12v fan for that psu now because Im having the same problem
