A simple design to illustrate the concept of a tactile writing prompt for the novel The Scarlet Letter. The concept is to use 3D printed symbols to evoke rich meaningful responses from students and to encourage students to play with symbolism as a memory tool. The lesson idea is explained at the designmaketeach.com blog at http://designmaketeach.com/2013/05/17/tactile-writing-prompts/
The design was created in the trial version of Netfabb Studio. The example print was printed at 150%. Primed and painted scarlet with acrylic paint.
