Welcome to Novam, a free tool for turning heightmaps and images into 3D .STL files for 3d printers. It also has rendering functionality.
Download link: (Windows version)
Don't mind the trolls. This link is perfectly safe, i would not put my name on anything that spread malware, if you are still in doubt, the program can also be downloaded from this site.
If you are a architect, printing out the area around the next big project might become very valuable.
Want a 3-dimensional version of your painting or contact card? perfectly possible!
The options are virtually endless, any image can get that extra dimension!
I think this tool is really useful, and everyone with a printer should have access to it, so instead of selling it, i have added a donation link.
This allows the people who are unable to pay access to the tool, and hopefully some kindhearted people are going to donate so i can continue to develop software for the community!
(This is also the homepage for another printer related project!)
This is a early alpha release, bugs will be fixed, functionality will be added, so stay tuned!
Feel free to come with suggestions for new functions, sources will also be released when the project is closer to completion!
