Best little piece of work! I tried everything to hold the flex cable wrap (after upgrading to E3D V6 on my Robo R1 Plus). The design makes it smooth enough for the cable to just pass through. GREAT idea!!

Thanks for the kind words. This was one of my first designs, but possibly the most useful. Happy printing!

Made this it is the best solution ! Just added some industrial strength velcro to the outside perimeter for security! Works great fits perfectly!

Wow. I just found this little gem. Another great clean design by you for the ROBOs for a real pain on our printers when taking the cover on and off. Keep up the great work. Printing this today.

Wow, thanks again for another positive comment. Let me know how you like it. I've had no trouble with mine and it's been running almost non-stop for the last month. I'm always open to suggestions for other parts as well. Happy printing!

Finally got my print done. This one was a challenge. The radius you put around the hole made this a bit tricky. I ended up reducing the heat like you suggested and also reduced the speed and added support for printing the bottom section. I had a few failed prints, but I am also new to this printer and never had to deal with supports. So my recommendation for you is to reduce or eliminate the radius on the ends of the hole. I would also think putting a bit of a radius on the stem of the "T" connector on top would help with twisting it onto the case slot. I got it in with a little force and no big deal, but just a thought. With that said, I loved the challenge and it really pushed me to understand my printer a bit more. Now I also have not finished my dual fan setup and I think that would have helped a lot. Finished part looks really good and no cleanup was needed (besides removing the supports) for it to slide together perfectly. Love the part. Had a lot of fun figuring out how to print it (rookie). Thanks again for sharing a nice tool free way to replace the zip tie. It will make life easier when taking the top off and on. I can't wait to see what designs you come up with next. Keep up the great work.

Its working great. The cable can easily move where it needs to. It was kind of hard to install as I had to turn the square stem through the slot, but the printer cover easily flexed to allow the turn. If it was round there wouldn't be that issue - however then it wouldn't keep the cable pointing exactly parallel. I don't think it matters much either way. My 'press fit' has started sliding around and it almost came open once. Nothing a little tape to take up the slack won't fix. The parts fit perfectly together.

This is a nice easy upgrade that makes it really easy to remove your cover!

Thanks again.

Awesome that zip tie is really cheesy and hard to put back on. Love my Robo - Thanks!

I hope you like it, let me know how it works for you. I'm always open to suggestions for improvements.
