I can't remember how they where attached ..
sry ..

sorry just now I saw your answer :( Meantime I managed It was only a little pin :)

how do you get to the pin? I broke off Z screw trying to get to the pin :( ... it's underneath the ring with numbers?! how do you get to i?

Good morning :) Still fighting with the hand screw X Y Z, any ideas?? :)

A little more info pls ..

I can't release the screw which connect the handle of X Y Z

Just added info on how to get rid of the backlash in the machine ..
I have tried different ways.
This is the best way to get rid of the backlash .. :)

Hi, I got today the CNC kit :) and I like to know if somewhere over the net I can get any instructions how to connect the nema 23 to the mill 70?

As for the electrical connections from motor :
use this wire order :
red , blue , green, black
and if you need to reverse directions it is :
red,blue, black, green ..

Thank you :) I'll send u a picture after I'l finish :)

How do you mean instructions ?
You need all the stuff above plus a motorcoupler, some m4 screws and a screwdriver ..
and its al done ..

Can you recommend me which control device to buy and from where?

See info .. it's all there ..
buy @ aliexpress.com

The backlash comes from a loose thread .. tightened it by putting a piece of aluminum tubing around the thread, between the bearings and the motor couplers.
backlash is much less then before ... almost nill.

Played with it in a shop. Noticed some backlash on the knobs. Yow did you get rid of that in your build ?

Got rid of the backlash with the motor couplers.
Works like a charm.
For hardware i'm using an Arduino with GRBL ... works great.

It is not necessary for CNC. The backlash on the knobs is eliminates in software.

the backlash is the same all the time ? what accuracy can you get to ? thx for the info

I have not altered my machine in NC so I can not argue that the backlash is the same all the time. However, looks that way.

Eding software seems not be compatible with the usb cnc board. Is there a way to reconcile their use?

Hi! Nice job. Would you please detail the way you couple the motor axis and the axis screw? Thank.

if you look closer at the picture , u can see flex couplings...

the backlash was due to the knob itself ? (is the nut on the acme rod recirculating ball / zero backlash ?) seems odd.

bitwise, could you give me more information about the stepper drivers you used?

USB controller from goodluckbuy is Chinese counterfeit of PlanetCNC controller.
You can read about it here:
