Though it seemed a tie at first glance, I simply must award this week's point to atartanian for the only reason that he managed to spark an idea in one of my own designs.

You see, I am making a music book for my baby niece. She will be just turning two years old when she gets it, and the book will play twinkle twinkle little star and other songs via Arduino complete with solar cell and battery for sealed eternal power and light switches that activate different songs as the pages are turned. Also capacitive sensors on 3D printed conductive ink will allow a little baby music jam, distorting the songs when little hands are near and playing stock tunes when undisturbed. So I have big plans but doable plans.

Well, atartanian has inspired me to do the 3D printing in diorama form possibly or partially, choosing songs that stack well. I won't use this design but I'll use the idea in my work. The penny hammer also exhibits some cool properties like pause-during print and utility and a nod to originality, but it didn't inspire me in my own work (yet) and really it needs a handle of some sort to be complete (though it's functional as is so maybe handle optional).

So the tally from me is artartanian 1.5 points and mathgrrrl 0.5 points after only two weeks of competition. I know it must be challenging to come up with inspiring and creative designs week after week - only the steadfast will prevail in this mighty battle of wits and braininess! Congrats to both for upping the level of play with original works this week, keep it up!
