This replaces the poorly printed original. It uses set screws for smooth
rod assembly. The Idler has through holes that allow the smooth rods to be passed through so that you don't have to disassemble the entire X carriage to access the center mount. Extruder mounts 1/2" higher for added build height. Eliminates misalignment of feed and smooth rods. Designed for (8) standard 24mm linear bearings or (4) 45mm. Idler now has an X belt tensioner included. I've added a center section that has mounting holes for the direct drive hotend mount. Best printed @ 40mm/sec or less.
Tap center section bearing clamp holes 4-40. Tap top smooth rod set screw holes 6-32. Tap lower smooth rod set screw holes 4-40. If using hotend mount tap (5) holes 8-32, hotend clamp holes 6-32, tensioner arm pivot hole 4-40. Hopefully your printer produces similar smooth rod hole sizes. I sanded my holes so that smooth rods slide through easily. Assemble entire X Carriage (level) and the tighten set screws. Don't over tighten! X belt tensioner use (1) .125 x .250" shoulder screw. I turned down a spare GT-2 pullet and inserted (2) .125 x .250" bearings face to face.
