Has anyone managed to get this one working yet? I really want to print one aside from assembly not posted anywhere I don't want it to not work :(

i was browsing the comments and i have seen that many people are claiming that it doesnt work or its not finished, and i have no idea what are you talking about although i havnt printed it the design looks complete can someone please tell me what is the problem?

How does does the blade lock in? I looked all over and i still cant figure out how the inner blade locks in. How?!

Comments deleted.

hello piggy can you or other people publicate one video tutuorial to assembly this hidden blade please, have some parts that i don´t know how to made thank you

on particulary the bladeswitch

This model is not done. It need quite a lot of adjustments. If you want a blade which is working just after printing I will recommend first version from Piggy http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:801162. But if you want this version anyway I guess assembly is not very different from first version

Assassin's Creed Hidden Blade (Dual Action)
by PiggyJJ

When do you think you will be able to have it done by? It doesn't have to be anytime soon, and I don't mean to rush you, I was just curious.

Oh sorry. I just realized that you weren't Piggy. But still, are you working on your own?

Hey, Piggy? I was just wondering why you haven't responded to anyone for quite a while. I mean, why won't you just put up your fixes? Good people here are trying to print this spectacular HB that you have made, only to find that it's still not fixed, even after a whole year! I don't mean to put you on the spot, man, and I'm not trying to be insulting or angry, but I mean come on. No offense, but that's kind of crappy to do to people. Sorry to be blunt but there it is. So thank you for your time and I hope not only for me, but for the sake of everyone else here that you will be posting the fixed files someone soon.

P.S. even if it's not fixed yet, the least you could do is tell people so we're not just waiting in the dark about it.

Have you fixed those problems yet that the last person talked about? I saw that THAT comment was posted in January and it's the end of December now, so...

First of all let me say thank you for your effort on this project and for sharing it with us. I think I may talk even in the name of others when I state that I appreciate it a lot, and I'm waiting for the final version.
I know this is still a work in progress but I've gone forward and I've pinted it out just to take a look at it and I'd like to give you some feed back, where you can improve your model.
So here comes nothing (please don't consider it as criticism):
1) IMO the bladecase is too loose in the case, it is wobbling side-wise, and during retraction it can hit the wall in several places like on the edge next to the front flipper and the rail for the bottom tab.
2) correct me if I'm wrong but the cover does not have a hole for the front flipper
3) I couldn't find a proper way to operate the tabs. springs and rubber bands did not work either for me.
4) as far as I can see, the blade is not fixed in the bladecase when it is retracted, nothing holds it in it's place.
5) printed axis' are used on the flippers
6) once you've assembled the bladecase (with glue) you cannot take it apart

I've started to create a model based on yours with the following modifications:

0)-> general modification: instead of printing the the cases in one peace I typically print the bottom/walls/top separately, and hold it in place with glue/pin(needle), this way it is more modular and I can rapidly test the prototypes, and you can sand it to be smoother. (My printing quality is probably not good enough to go without finishing)

1)-> I've moved the "walls" closer to the blade, with this it is not wobbling anymore.
2)-> I've added +1 hole for the front flipper
3)-> by making the gap for the bladecase thinner I could thicken the sliding part of the tab & instead of holes I've added 'gaps' to them where I can attach the rubber bands.
4)-> According to imdeepain's version the hole on the side of the bladecase for the flipper can be deeper and a gap on the side of the blade can be added too. This way the flipper will lock the blade when it is fully retracted.
5)-> I used paperclips for axis and I printed a hole for the flippers instead of printing the axis.
6)-> the 'endstop' on the bladecase (the rectangular bumper) is replaced with a removable square shaped rod. this way I can remove the blade.
6.1) -> I use needles instead of glue (as long as it is just a proto)

7) I've added a gap to the side of the case so I can operate the flippers with a rubber band just like in Imdeepain's version, but this is just a case of preferences.

I'm awaiting your final version.

could you post the fixed design? I printed it and the blade has a good amount of wobble and the spinner doesn't git in its whole :/ (going to fix by scaling down a bit but just for future reference

just realized you weren't the original designer.. lol sorry! but still would like your fixed version! thanks friend!

Please post your fixes to it

would love if you posted your changes for a comparison :D

This is a working blade right? I printed your other hidden blade and its complicated can you post instructions for both please

The bladecase.stl file is messed up. Can you fix that?

Seems just like imdeepains design, if it follows through true to that, then it should work. About how long is the main casing?

hiii!!!! i would like to know if this hidden blade work please? :)

it does, in theory though

hey man did you fix the problems and update it to the new design since i last commented?

Could you post some instructions? They would be very helpful for assembly.

Guys I tried assembling this but note that it is only how I thing it goes together. You might need autodesk 123d to open it. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1165635

Hidden Blade ( Extended Blade w/ Dual Action) for Assassin's Creed by PiggyJJ assembled by RV
by RV2138

Is there an instruction for it?
Or should I guess where the pieces go

So does this design work? cause this is the only one i can find that looks promising.

Looks wonderfully done PiggyJJ, and thanks for posting this up!

Looking forward to when you get the cleaned up files up!

feed back:
the case needs a mother small hole for one of the flippers and the flippers should have 2 slots and in the base there should be a slot fit a rubber band in for the flippers

How to create an offer... Plez

Comments deleted.

I think - but I'm not certain - they're asking if you could make an offer to sell a print of the hidden blade (can they buy a copy - like imdeepain).

ok, so i will be redesigning some parts of the hidden blade from everyone's suggestions as well as some stuff i might or might not left out when designing it

Hi piggyjj, i really like the design of this HB but when will you upload the redesigned files?or are you going to up the files?.. Sorry for my bad eng.thnks

Comments deleted.

What's the time frame (if there is one)? The old non-extended design seems to work like a charm for the most part (though I still need to lubricate it to make it more reliable at more angles), but if working designs for this one are up before Halloween I'll definitely print and assemble it.

Feedback for PiggyJJ

For the case.stl : you need to add a slot going vertical for any link between the two flippers to rest in while the blade and blade case(s) slide smoothly against the outer edge of the extended wall.
Also for the Cover.stl : Kind of, like, raise the walls about a centimeter or so so that the gear and other small pieces, as well as the gearstring.stl can all fit without any or very little contact between the Cover and Case Cover.

hey piggy there is a problem you must fix the blade case it is too fat it goes past the rails that the slider sits on so the slider rests on the blade instead of the rails

i printed this, something is wrong with the gearstring ang gearcricle

Piggy JJ, was this based on Iamdeepainreborn's Giovanni hidden blade? Because this is a very nice one. And is there only one flipper in the file?

yes and yes, you'll need to duplicate it

Hey, when you printed this, did it work like expected or were there some flaws? And is the blade from the other one also compatible with this?

both of them are entirely different

for this one , i haven't printed this version but it should the be final working one

hey man im gonna print this so ill let you know how it turns out im printing my own version of the hidden blade right now ;)

Have you printed this? Do you have a video of it working?

i have printed previous versions of this but not the final one so nope :(
