How long did you took to make it?

The modeling time is several days.

Hi I'm somewhat new to 3d modeling and printing, I am able to create intermediate level items in a cad software but curious as to how you would go about a design like this, any help is useful thanks

This model has been created by using "curve surface modeling" of Shade 3D.
This modeling technique using "Bezier curves" is different from "polygon modeling".
Of course, it is possible to create this model using "polygon modeling".
It is important to watch a lot of real cats for modeling, I think.

Do I need support for this model?

It is possible to print this model without support, depending on your 3D printer.

your layer heights are excellent, what printer are u using ?

My 3D printer and settings are as follows:

  • printer : Afinia H480
  • filament : ABS (Afinia value line 1.75mm)
  • layer thick : 0.15mm
